News.mc – Local school children to meet NASA astronaut at ELEVATE event
On November 2 fighter pilot and former NASA astronaut Colonel Ron Garan will visit the Principality to meet and greet local school children and residents.
Monaco resident Zsolt Szemerszky and NASA Astronaut Ron Garan invite local children and residents to join a 71 million mile journey from the heart of Monaco to rediscover the awe and wonder of space.
“I believe that space travel and space research is not just about technology, it is a humanitarian contribution to life on Earth. Also, living on a space station, astronauts and cosmonauts of multiple nations are working hand in hand for a common goal,” said Zsolt Szemerszky, organiser.
Having enjoyed an illustrious career that has cemented Colonel Ron Garan’s place as one of the world’s most influential individuals, the father of three is a decorated NASA astronaut, fighter pilot and test pilot, a humanitarian, and a social entrepreneur.
Ron, who has spent 178 days in space and accomplished four spacewalks, will inspire the audience in Monte-Carlo with amazing stories of spaceflights and spacewalks from his journey beyond the edge of space.
